Info: The Boulder Room- A total of 700 square feet of quality bouldering underground! Featues include 45 degree panels, two waves, slabs, cracks, aretes and an eight foot roof. Built by Bendcrete in 1992. The Training Room - A total of 700 square feet of climbing:- including a 5 slided 16 foot tower, curved wall, roof sections, chimney and overhangs. A rope must be used on the roof sections. Built by the Forts own staff in Aprill 2000 & improved in 2001.
Open: Monday to Friday 0900 to 2100. Saturday and Sunday 0900 to 1300.
Price: Adults £3.00, U16/NUS £2.50
Facilities: None available. Climbers under 16 must be accompanied by adult (18+) climber & MUST have the writted consent of a parent/guardian. All climbers must sign a disclaimer before commencement of any climbing activity - to be updated unually. Climbers are advised to confirm availability of wall prior to arrival. Climbers must observe safe climbing practices. There is a No Smoking Policy in this area.

Directions:Can only enter by vehicle from the east entrance (travel along the road that runs along the top of Portsdown Hill, then take the turning towards Crookhorn and Crookhorn Golf Course, immediately turn left into Peter Ashley Way.
Park in one of the bays marked out the front of the fort or along the road side if all bays marked
Enter the fort through the first set of large gates, in front of you should be the reception office where you can pay (£3.50 I think)
Come back out of the office to the right is a set of concrete steps take these and then go straight ahead past some toilets etc. take the last door on the left and turn 180 degrees in front of you should be a long tunnel usually a bit damp. Follow this to the end and the climbing wall 'the Cellar' should be up on the left.

Info: Built in 1996 by PME 19 top roped stations and bouldering wall. Ideal for group tuition. No lead climbing

Price: £3.15 Concessions available to leisure card holders. No membership fee. Monthly passes available £25.00
Facilities: Gear hire available but no boots. Children's club held on Tuesday evenings for 8 - 14 year olds.

Info: Dedicated area within an outdoor activity centre. Over 520 sq metres of climbing surface, with over 100 routes on 45+ climbs. Lead/top rope wall up to 13 metre high overhanging to 6 metres in coated ply and curved resin - built 1996 by DR walls. 70 sq metre lead/top rope wall in freeform GRP including free standing pillar added October 2000 by Living Stone Climbing Walls. Also dedecated fully matted bouldering wall.
Open: Mon-Fri 18.30 to 22.00 Sat Sun and Bank Holidays 13.00-17.00. Last climb 15 mins before closing time.
Price: Members £4.10 Concesssions available for children, students and some local clubs. Annual membership £2.00.
Facilities: Showers and bar.
